The Complex Impedance Meter uses HEW Target Server in concert with an M16C/26AMCU and a front-end analog filter to create an LCR meter. Direct Digital Synthesis is employed within the MCU as an excitation source for the device under test. The results are read by the MCU's analog-to-digital converter and passed through digital filtering performed on chip. The final values are displayed on the PC with a customWindows program using HEW Target Server to collect data and control the MCU's DDS frequency.
