Linux on an SH7727

Posted by Mark Barclay at November 03. 2008

Has anybody successfully ported Linux to a single-board-computer based on an SH7727? I'm looking for information that would assist with this process, so any links and suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Mark,

There is a port to the SH7721 from MPC data, that is up to date and available for download from www.shlinux.com

Both are based on the SH3-DSP core and have almost identical peripherals.

There is also a Linux port for the SH7727 solution engine. Not sure how recent it is. It is located on sourceforge, but I don't have the exact link.
