What PCM audio encoding format is used in the demo board?
Up to Subatomic Particle Board (SPB)
I want to put my own audio into the external EEPROM and was wondering what encoding format to use. The demo only includes object code for the decoding so it is hard to determine how it was encoded. Is it a proprietary format or something?
This is the round SPB demo board they gave out at DevCon with a M30260F8 26A group chip that has a head phone jack and plays back some voice recordings.
Thanks in advance,

Look on the DevCon CD. There's the presentation on ADPCM, along with two labs. The lab materials include Windows programs to encode the data using the non-linear ADPCM algorythm for your SPB. It will also load the output "binary" as data into the serial flash.

The presentation Calvin is referring to is number B01 under the "System Design Technologies" heading in the listing of "Conference Seminars by Number/Subject" on the CD. The actual files all start with "ID B01" and are in the following directory on the CD:
