M16C project with 802.15.4 RF and TinyOS for sensor networks

North Carolina State University: The aim of the project is to transfer some data, for example, the temperature readings from the temperature sensor on the Berkeley Motes to the Renesas M16C board and display the values on the LCD of the M16C board. The solutions use the Rensas Zigbee development kits for RF communications between "motes".

This is an interesting graduate project. If these students need advice or consultation, I may be able to help (and in Cary am nearby). They can contact me at c.j.lord *at* ieee.org

OpenRF(tm) Option

TinyOS is very cool, but there is another Open option for embedded wireless sensor networks called OpenRF(tm). Check it out at www.openrf.com. Sorry for the blatant self-promotion, but it is free and it is based on the H8/38076 so it is worth a look.
